Weekly private lessons are offered to all students in the program during the day from professional musicians, while also working with some of the nation’s most prominent clinicians and guest conductors. Each year, multiple band members are selected for the Illinois Music Educators Association District Honor Band and Orchestra, All-State Band and Orchestra, Music For All National Honor Band, and various Chicagoland youth orchestras.Ĭoncert ensembles meet daily and perform a minimum of four formal concerts along with several festivals per year. Considerable emphasis is placed on individual student progress and achievement. The Lockport Township High School Band Program involves over 200 students in three 10th-12th grade Concert Ensembles, and two 9th grade Concert Ensembles.
